Sew-to-Sow
Name of group: Sew-to-Sow
Contact name: Betty
Phone: 652-6999
Place: Williston Rd.
Dates: Thursdays from Sept.-Oct, Jan.-April
Time: 10am-3pm
Bring: Your own lunch, (coffee, tea, water provided)
Sew to Sow welcomes new members, anyone who can sew either by machine or by hand, or cut cloth from patterns or by roller blade and ruler. We don't knit or crochet, but we would find a place for knitted or crocheted items if you have such. Sewing can be done in the group, (which is the most fun), or at home. We meet each week at a home on Williston Rd., in Marilla, on Thursdays, during the months of Jan.-April, Sept. - Nov., at 10am until three or so. We eat lunch together about noon, (bring your own lunch, coffee, tea, etc are provided). We sew for organizations who sow God's word: some of those organizations are SonRays Ministries in Tonawanda, Odosagih Bible Conference in Machias, Hearts for the Homeless in Riverside, Cornerstone/Buffalo City Mission. We've even had some of our sewing go to Bethesda Mission in South Africa and to the Dominican Republic on a SonRays Mission trip there. We have been very blessed by donations of cloth, so if you have cleaned out your mother's stash or your own, we would be very thankful for the donation of cloth and sewing supplies.
None of us are experts, we all just do our best and learn from each other. On top of that, we laugh and kid and share each other's joys and sorrows. We may be tired by the end of the day but we've lost our worries and problems.
For more information, call Betty at 652-6999. We would love to have you join us.
