LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF MARILLA, NEW YORK
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that there has been presented to the Town Board on February 11, 2010, for adoption a proposed Local Law to be known as “Local Law No. 1 of the Year 2010" entitled “Local Law Establishing the Office of a Single Appointed Assessor for the Town of Marilla”. The proposed Local Law will abolish the offices of the three current elected assessors as of April 1, 2010 and replace them with a single appointed assessor with a term as set forth under Section 310 of the Real Property Tax Law.
THEREFORE, pursuant to the Municipal Home Rule Law Rules and Local Law No. 1 of the Year 2010, the Town Board of the Town of Marilla shall hold a Public Hearing on the aforesaid Local Law at the 1740 Two Rod Road, Marilla, New York at 7:30 p.m. on the 11th day of March, 2010, at which time persons interested may be heard. Copies of the aforesaid proposed Local Law are available at the office of the Town Clerk for inspection and distribution to any interested person during business hours. The meeting room is wheel chair accessible. Those needing special arrangements should call the Town Hall at 652-5350 by March 6, 2010.
